The right person

This is a tricky position to recruit for! We'd love to find someone with good admin skills, who also loves working with people, and who his genuinely keen to host and cultivate Weston's creative community at The Stable. Bits of the job will be repetitive as with any role but, to a very real extent, you can mould the role into what you want it to be, channelling your energies into strategic social media activity, events planning and management, interior improvement and design, marketing and more depending on where your skills lie. As long as the key bits of the job get done, and our members are happy, there is scope to do more of what you're good at.

Expectations

It will be a slow first few months as things get off the ground with offers, events and gatherings to help raise awareness about The Stable. It'll be you and the manager in the building, plus whoever's hotdesking or room renting that day. Into 2018, it will then start to get busier and busier with new members and more events and meeting room hires. Phase Two of the refurb comes in late 2018 and will take a big chunk of our time. The ideal candidate will want part-time work initially with a view to more hours (up to full-time) from around spring 2018 or perhaps earlier.

Deadlines and apply

This position needs to be filled ASAP - first round interviews will take place w/c 30 October. CVs received after 25 Oct will be considered for a second round of interviews if it comes to that. To apply, send your CV and a quick and tailored cover letter or email to manager Kerry (link below). It should explain why you want this job and why you think you'd be good at it. Any questions, contact Kerry at The Stable before applying. The ideal candidate will want flexible part-time work initially with a view to more hours (up to full-time) from around spring 2018.

Job Type: Part-time initially. It's envisaged this will be half days over four to five days per week (not two or three full days). Minimum hours likely to be around 25 hours per week, potentially more from the outset for the right person. Into 2018 as things get busier this will become a full-time post.

Salary: to be discussed with successful candidates. Call 01934 315 305 if you have any questions prior to applying, or simply fill out this quick Application Form, attaching your CV. If this link doesn't work for you please email your cover email/ letter and CV to manager Kerry. As stated above, first-round interviews in progress but if you'd still like to apply then please do as it might go to second interviews.
